Founder of Schmankerl Stube Recognized by Hagerstown Mayor and Council
The City of Hagerstown’s Mayor and Council recognized Schmankerl Stube’s founder, Charles Sekula, for his recent inductioned into the “McCormick and Co. Stars of the Industry Maryland Hall of Honor.”
On Tuesday, August 23, Mayor Robert Bruchey presented Charles Sekula with a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of his Maryland Hall of Honor award, presented by the Restaurant Association of Maryland earlier this year in April.
Sekula is also a founding board member of the Augustoberfest Charitable Foundation. Augustoberfest, the annual celebration of Hagerstown’s German Heritage, is held annually during the last weekend of August.
