Executive
Chef Dieter Max Blosel
The
Schmankerl Stube Bavarian Restaurant is pleased to announce the
appointment of Dieter Max Blosel as Executive Chef, according to
Charles Sekula, President.
"After
a long, drawn-out immigration process, we are pleased to welcome
Chef Blosel. I want to take this opportunity to thank Rita Downs
of Congressman Bartlett's office, as well as the help of long-time
employee, Diana Collins," Mr. Sekula said.
"Chef
Blosel brings years of European culinary experience to Hagerstown.
His long-awaited arrival is the perfect way for us to begin our
second decade of service to the community," he added.
A
native of Hersbruk, Germany, Herr Blosel, received his chef's
certificate in 1989, after training at the Sporthotel Rosenhalm/Scheidegg
in Germany. From 1990 to 1997, he served as chef at a number
of
prominent restaurants, hotels, resorts and cruise ships throughout
Germany and Austria. Most recently he was employed at the Hotel
Alpina in Austria.
Herr
Bosel's new duties at Schmankerl Stube include coordinating the
activities and direction of cooks and other kitchen personnel,
planning
recipes and menus, as well as helping to ensure strict adherence
to food preparation and health sanitation guidelines.
The
Schmankerl Stube Restaurant, serving satisfied diners since 1988,
is located in the heart of Hagerstown's Arts and Entertainment District,
